Did you know the word opossum started with the letter O? I know, it catches me off all the time too. Thank God for spell check. Have you ever heard the saying “playing opossum”? This is when an opossum basically plays dead as a tactic to avoid being eaten.  You can have a little fun with this southern charmer but with their sharp teeth and ability to carry diseases, I would not recommend you getting close to them. You may not see these animals because they typically come out during the night; but you may hear them or wake up to the evidence in your yard or by trash cans knocked over.  If you think there is opossums living near you, give us a call!

You may like some of these interesting facts about opossums. Opossums can have almost two dozen young in a litter. If you are like most, you think kangaroos are kinda cool. Its ok me too. We all try our Australian down unda accent every once in a while. Any way where am I going with this: did you know that opossums are the only pouched mammal (marsupial) found in the United States. Yes opossums give birth to a litter that are the size of a beetle and they immediately crawl into mamas pouch.

Trapping opossums are right up our alley.  With their beady little eyes and their musky odor, these animals can be a real nuisance if they get into your house or office buildings.  They tend to find their way into garages or underneath a decks and other tight places.  They are only a couple feet long so may be hard to spot at first.
