Did you ever see a movie where there was a bat flying around some ones house or a cave and the girls would scream that a bat had gotten stuck in their hair and the strong boys would run around scared? I think we all could chuckle and remember a film or show that happened in. Did you know bats use an eternal sonar system, not eye sight, which is so good that the chances of them running into anything, much less getting stuck in your hair, would be almost impossible? Some of these bats are so good that they can snatch a mosquito out of the air while they are flying at full stride.

One thing that we are known for is “bat-proofing” houses.  We have found ways over the years to make sure that bats will not find a way into your house.  Typically, this is the safest route to take before you have one of these flying around your house.  Most people do not think that they need to have this done, but trust us, you will be happy you did!

If you know that there is already a bat in the attic, beware that it is probably not the end of them.  Without bat proofing your home, there is a very high chance that a bat will come back.  Most species in this area can live up to 30 years!  In that life span, bats will visit and revisit the same house.  They are incredibly smart, which makes it even more important to have this work done ahead of time.
